What is Impact?
Impact is the young adult ministry of West End Community Church, but our goal is to reach beyond the walls of West End to young adults from any background in the Nashville area. We meet once a week, on Tuesday night, to learn from the Word of God and to grow deeper in our understanding of what it means to live life in today’s culture as a follower of Christ. We will also have music led by a worship leader who is dedicated to facilitating a meaningful time of music with lyrics that allow the singer or the listener to be reminded of core Biblical truths. Carter Crenshaw, senior teaching pastor at West End, will lead the Bible study. If you’ve never heard him teach before, get ready to learn and to be challenged to live your life in the image of Christ.
Who should come to Impact?
Impact attendees are individuals striving to deepen their walk with Jesus through solid biblical instruction and analysis. A typical audience may include a 22 year-old recent college graduate, a 25 year-old graduate student, a 32 year-old working professional, and a 40 year-old divorced parent. Impact attendees may go to various churches for Sunday worship, but they all value a mid-week supplement in a more personal and communal learning environment.
How is Impact different from Sunday worship?
Impact is not a replacement for being part of a corporate church body on Sunday. While we will have teaching and worship at Impact, the aim of this Tuesday night study is to provide a more intimate setting for Biblical discussion as well as to provide an avenue for people to connect in a smaller group setting. Impact is a place to get plugged in to West End if someone is looking for a church home, but Impact is not meant to be a substitute for Sunday worship.
Why is Impact a good use of my time?
Impact is a weekly meeting that is dedicated to feeding our innate need to connect in authentic relationship with other believers. Those that lead this ministry are dedicated to ensuring strong Biblical teaching in a welcoming environment. Come to sing. Come to learn. Come to pray. Come to connect.
